Exit the Maze is a 501(c)(3) organization founded by Executive Director Cole Reed, and is a community-centered nonprofit committed to exposing the invisible tentacles of racism by creating and energizing a diverse community of engaged leaders. Working closely with Cole as the organization launched, we partnered to bring her vision to life and create supporting marketing materials.

BRAND FOUNDATION & VISION
We expanded Exit The Maze’s visual language to include typography, a color palette, and a library of patterns and textures to move the brand forward. All brand development was inspired by Cole’s original logo design, and the concept of exiting the darkness of racism to come into the light of an equitable future. Once the brand direction was approved, we set brand guidelines to ensure the consistency of all materials.

Lastly, Exit the Maze needed promotional materials for the opening night + launch of the organization. We created social media assets, a print invitation, and a letter sent to Portland-area leaders, welcoming them into the community and asking for their commitment to change.
